Viva Las Vegas!

I have just returned home from a trip to Vegas. It was a blast to say the least. It was a little reunion with some wonderful friends. I would recommend that I save a bit more money before making a venture to the entertainment hub, as we couldn't afford to gamble more than ten dollar hands. We would lay in the 96 degree weather by the pool all morning, needless to say I am a few shades too tan. Then, we would have a nice dinner and go dancing. We were dancing on the rooftop of this rather tall building one night, Timmy was dancing so crazy that I swear I almost wet my pants. My abs are still hurting because of all the laughter we shared. We didn't sleep more than 2-3 hours a night, so four days there was good as far as that is concerned. It is nice to catch up with friends that you haven't seen in a while, and when you get together it is as if nothing has ever changed, what a good feeling.

It is now Monday, and a wonderful day in Michigan, 85 degrees. I debated for some time between working on my thesis and turning a different ethnicity, my parents would be proud to know I chose the former. I had a meeting this morning with my advisor, she is such a peach. She is from India, and I was venting to her about moving and how I am a bit worried about meeting good people and my living situation.. she laughed and reminded me that she moved here from India, so moving seven hours away isn't much of a deal in her eyes.

I spent last night in Saginaw with one of my dear friends from high school, Katie. For some reason, we thought it would be a good idea to pull out all of her photos from then, although it hasn't been too long for me just yet, I sure was a bit dorky looking? Mom, why did you let me buy those really ugly silver glasses?

I had a good visit with Grandpa Jay before going back to CMU, I left out the detail I went to VEGAS, and can be sure he won't read this, as our computer sessions have been lacking as he isn't as up to it. In no time, he will be back to Vanguard, I'm sure. He just had surgery on his arm and didn't realize I was not so good with the medical stuff (never really has been my thing), almost passed out head first when he showed me all of those staples, OUCH. He is such a strong and amazing man, I love him so much.

Dad was soaking up the sun with me (well he was in the shade) and giving me money advice, is he turning into Grandpa Miller before my eyes? :o)

One last though, while home, my Dad showed me an obituary that an elderly woman wrote for herself and it was giving words of advice, it was pretty witty. One piece said to eat more chocolate, so here I go.

Pictures soon to come. xx

Enjoy the day!
